We had another fun, action-packed afternoon in Yea

We had another fun, action-packed afternoon in Year 6 moving our evolution art project along. The children had to tear their pieces of art up and share them to create a vibrant background that hints of the feathers, scales and fur of our chosen Galapagos animal. #arttsm #year6

The first week of the Chorley District Basketball

The first week of the Chorley District Basketball League went very well on Friday. All four games were won with the boys showing an excellent attitude and improving all the time. Hopefully more of the same moving forward! #PEtsm

Belonging was Preschools topic this week and to ex

Belonging was Preschools topic this week and to explore this we discussed ourselves, our families and where/who we live with, any clubs the children belong too and the Croston community. In addition, we talked about how we each belong to Trinity & St Michael’s school. To support the children’s understanding we went on a full tour of school and had teachers from different classes read us stories and discuss how they belong to school. As well as belonging, we finished off our winter theme by making a delicious winters cake that we all thoroughly enjoyed. We also incorporated lots of number work and creative thinking opportunities too. It was wonderful to see all the brilliant ideas the children had in our construction zone creating bridges, buildings and even rockets bigger than themselves! The children really embraced this week’s topics and produced some fantastic work which we can’t wait for you to see. Next week- Chinese new year #preschool

Coffee anyone? 😀 we had a wonderful week in Year R! Children were really excited to create their own coffee shop and deliver to special people in our school!Despite being busy in the coffee shop, children enjoyed learning about capacity, finding a balance, counting and creating arctic scenery all whilst playing musical instruments! #eyfstsm #yearrtsm
