Meet Our Staff OLD

Headteacher – Mrs C Procter

I’m Claire Procter and I love my job! This year I have taken on the role of the day-to-day leadership of our wonderful school. I particularly enjoy striving to ensure that our school is as inclusive as it can possibly be.

Acting Deputy Headteacher and Year 5 Teacher – Mr G Hughes

Hi, my name is Gwynan Hughes and I am the teacher in Year 5. I have been teaching for 10 years and find every day brings something new! My main passion is music and any spare time I have is spent composing and recording songs for children in our school! I also love sports and enjoy cheering on our football and rugby teams from the sidelines.

I believe that teachers should be role models for their pupils and if a class is willing to work hard they deserve to have plenty of fun too!

Teaching Staff

Reception class – Miss Hyett

Hi, I’m Jessica Hyett, the Year R class teacher. I love working and learning outdoors! I also enjoy Art and can’t wait to help Year R explore their creative sides.

Year 1 – Mrs Evans

Hi, my name is Sue Evans and I currently work in Year 1. I have been teaching for…… many years! I have been at Trinity and St. Michael’s for about 10 years. Previously I worked in the Falkland Islands delivering telephone lessons to children who live in isolated locations. I really enjoy nurturing and motivating children to ensure they fulfil their potential.

Year 2 – Mr Hawman

Hello, my name is Jonny Hawman and I am the Year 2 class teacher. I am currently in my third year of teaching and thoroughly enjoy working with children. I have worked for Trinity and St Michaels for six years as teaching assistant and now as class teacher. My passion lies within P.E and being active. I thrive for the times when children suddenly get that light bulb moment and they understand something they once found tricky. I believe the saying goes ‘choose a job you love and you never have to work a day in your life’. I definitely love what I do!

Year 3 – Miss Pemberton

Hello, I am Louise Pemberton, the Year 3 class teacher. Taking the plunge and changing career was the best decision I have ever made! I feel very lucky to be working at such a wonderful school, with a great team of people and such polite, caring and ambitious children. My favourite subjects are English Literature, History and Art.  I also have a passion for outdoor learning and cannot wait to use Trinity’s facilities. “Tell me and I’ll forget, show me and I might remember, but involve me and I’ll LEARN!”

Year 6 – Mr S Gray

Hello, my name is Shaun Gray and I am the Year 6 class teacher. I feel extremely privileged to be part of a profession which focuses on helping children to grow, develop and flourish. I like a classroom to be a space for practical, co-operative and investigative learning. Because of this I love teaching Science and taking a hands-on approach when learning about the world around us. However, my favourite thing in the whole world is reading imaginative and creative writing (from fancy published authors to the children’s exciting tales).

School Office

Business Manager – Mrs C Rigby

I’m Carole Rigby and I am the school Business Manager. I have a background in purchasing and I particularly enjoy working with Mrs Beatty to squeeze as much out of our school budget as we possibly can!

Administrative Assistant – Mrs J Commins

I’m Julie Commins and I am the Administrative Officer. My years of experience working in a bank have proved very helpful to my role in school. I enjoy the fact that my school role is so varied and especially enjoy the children’s curiosity when visiting the school office.
